Hello guys, my Windows 10 has gone crazy with metro apps.

1. My apps are now stuck on the splash screen, and I've tried many solutions, but they all don't work.

An investigation has found that these apps crash because they take too long to start.

Also Windows Store is now called @{Microsoft.WindowsStore.2015 and so on.

I've tried sfc /scannow, DISM, etc.

SFC /scannow --> stuck at 12%?? for like a few hours.

DISM --> no issues

Trouble shooter --> no issues

Reinstalling all metro apps --> didn't help

SPECS: Inspiron N5040

Intel i3 1st gen

8 GB RAM

Windows 10 Home

500 GB HDD

please help. thanks!

Did you try re-registering the apps?

Run the following command in a Powershell window that's run as an Administrator in order to re-register the Windows Store apps:

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
From this article:  http://www.thewindowsclub.com/re-register-windows-store-apps
Be sure that Edge is closed (in Task Manager).  Cortana will spit an error as it's still running - don't worry about that for now.

And maybe this free program to fix other things:  http://www.thewindowsclub.com/fixwin-for-windows-10

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
