I was downloading updates for java, but accidentally clicked "recommended" where Yahoo was installed as the default for Mozilla's search engine plus I have a new tab on my on the home page list.

How do I fix this? Here is what came up when downloading java:

Well depending on what browser you are using you can just go into the browser settings and change your homepage, search engine, and any tabs its opening. For instance, in Firefox, go to Options>Search and there you can change the default search engine. For your default homepage and tab features, just go to options>general. It will be slightly different for other browsers, but should be very similar.

You probably do not even need Java any more.
Try going into Control Panel and uninstall anything Java, restart machine and see how it is.
