Hi im almost 99% sure my laptop is full of viruses lol. most of the time it doesnt even turn on. it just sits there with a black screen and powers up but when i press a key it goes nuts beeping. When i try and restore it, it fails. I need to restore it to the factory state. could a virus have disabled my restore?

when i press a key it goes nuts beeping

This could indicate some hardware problems.

Refer to this Computer POST and beep codes
http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

Can you identify your patern of bees against these lists?

Which one is it?

Continuous beeps could be a keyboard problem.
Make sure it's connected firmly on a Desktop computer.

If the problem persists I suggest you start a new topic in the Internal Hardware forum.
This is not caused by malware and is not my forte.

You will find the forum here.

I will keep this topic open for 6 days if you need to return please do.

Download Farbar's Service Scanner utility
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-service-scanner/dl/62/
and Save to your Desktop.
If using Windows 7 or Vista, Right-Click on fss.exe and select Run As Administrator.
If using XP, double-click to start.
Answer Yes to ok when prompted.
If your firewall then puts out a prompt, again, allow it to run.
Once FSS is on-screen, be sure the following items are checkmarked:
Internet Services
Windows Firewall
System Restore
Security Center/Action Center
Windows Update
Windows Defender
Other services

Click on "Scan".
It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
Copy & Paste contents of FSS.txt into your reply.

It meas the Windows Defender is disable.

You can enable the program running this.
If my assumption is correct McAfee will disable it. Lets hope not.

Copy the text IN THE CODE BOX below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop.
Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved Right click the .reg file and allow it to merge with the registry.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender]
"DisableAntiSpyware"=DWORD:0

Restart the when completed.

You can delete the fixme.reg file when done.

How is it now?
