Is this a name brand flash drive? Normally the size would be 128GB and the price if not on sale approx $100.  If you purchased this on Ebay it could be a fake.

Can you copy your data from the flash drive to your hard drive? I would do this first then try deleting the partitions and formatting with Partition Wizard.

@durkinjt

You mentioned that you cannot create a new partition from the unallocated space. If this is the case, then I completely agree with JohnC_21, it could be fake.

But, I would still recommend that you try some other methods.

Try booting up a Linux distro which has GParted (I recommend Ubuntu 14.04).

Once you have booted it up:

1. Open GParted

2. Format the unallocated space.

3. Extend the 'usuable' (30 GB) partition.

    OR

    Create a new partition form the unallocated space and then

    Merge the two partitions.

NOTE: Please tell us if this works for you or not.

Usually, I do not get online before 1:00 PM or after 10:00 PM (my local time).

So, if I do not reply to a thread where I am currently active, make sure you check my local time to see if it's time for me to be online or not. :)

Can you post on what you did to make it work? This would help other people who may have the same issue.
