Hi Dan F,

Welcome to BleepingComputer Forums and thanks again for your patience!

1. First, Download LSPFix.exe to a convenient location. Do NOT run this program. This is only to be used if you lose Internet Access after removing NewDotNet.

To Get rid of NewDotNet, go to:

Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and remove the following:

New.Net Applications or New.Net Domains (anything that says New.Net)

If it is not there, go here and follow Procedure 4: NewDotNet Removal Procedure 4.

In the event that you lose Internet access after removing New.Net, please double-click LSPFix.exe that you downloaded earlier. Check the "I know what I'm doing" button. You will see 2 panels. If there is any file listed in the "Remove" panel on the right-side, leave it as is and just click "Finish>>" then reboot your computer and you should now have access to the Internet. If nothing is listed under the "Remove Panel", do NOT do anything - just close the program. You will need to use another computer to come back here for further instructions on what to do.

2. Download Brute Force Uninstaller to your C:\
Unzip it to a folder of its own (C:BFU).
  • BFU should be on your root. In most cases this is C:
  • Download qoofix.bat (rightclick on this link and choose save as)
  • Place qoofix.bat in your C:BFU - folder. (Important!)
  • Doubleclick qooFix.bat, Close all browsers and explorer folders.
  • Choose option 1 (Qoolfix autofix) and follow the prompts.
  • Please be patient, it will take about five minutes.
3. You are running HijackThis from your desktop. HJT creates backups and we want them safe and secure should they be required later. For that reason I recommend to remove HijackThis to its own location. Create a folder on your C: drive: click Start > My Computer, open/double-click your C:\ drive, select New, next Folder and call it C:\hijackthis. Drag HijackThis into that folder!

4. We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Windows Defender.
Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.

You may re-enable it again when your computer is clean; I will let you know!

5. Run HijackThis, click Scan and checkmark the following entries:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL,ClientStartup -s
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Yahoo! Pager] 1
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [adcrn] C:\WINDOWS\system32\epqymo.exe reg_run
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: repairs303169572.dll

If you didn't install Blazing Tools Perfect Keylogger intentionally checkmark this entry as well:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BPK] C:\Program Files\Perfect Keylogger\bpk.exe

Close all browsers and windows, except for HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button; close HijackThis!

6. Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete the following folder in bold if listed:

C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1<< Foldername will begin with NEWDOT and you may find it in the subfolder PROGRAm files!

............ and file in bold if listed:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\epqymo.exe

7. Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

8. You're using an outdated version of Java. Please update and remove the older versions. Do the following:
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
  • Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )

It should have next icon next to it: Posted Image
    Select it and click Remove.
  • Then Download and install the newest version from here:http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Please post a fresh HijackThis log for revision!

Hi Dan F,

Please do this instead:

Download Qoofix by Rubber Ducky to your desktop.
  • Right click on the Qoofix folder, and choose "Extract All". Extract Qoofix to your C: drive
  • Close all windows and programs, including internet windows.
  • Go to C:\Qoofix and open the folder, then double click on Qoofix.exe
  • Click Begin Removal and wait for the scan to finish
  • If Qoofix finds an infection, select yes to restart your computer
  • You will now find a log from this tool, located at C:\Qoofix\Qoofix Logfile.txt Copy and paste the contents of that report into your next reply here.
Don't forget the other instructions I allready gave you.

Good luck!

Yes. You already did step 1, I assume, Qoofix is step 2, then there are steps 3 to 8 and a fresh HijackThis log to post. I hope this helps.

Hi Dan F,

I hope i'm all clean now

You're almost there but not quite.

I still see NewDotNet in your log. It could be that you installed it deliberately. If so beware that it is extremely dubious and commercially sponsored. I therefor strongly advise to remove it.

1. You already downloaded LSPFix.exe and tried to remove anything related to NewDotNet, New.Net etc. form within Add or Remove. If you hadn't found anything there you tried the Removal Procedure 4 as instructed. Obviously it didn't work since NewDotNet is still on your machine.

2. Click here to download and save uninstall6_90.exe to the Desktop.
Now double-click on uninstall6_90.exe and click OK.
When it's done you may be prompted to reboot. Please reboot even if not prompted.

Post a fresh HijackThis log for review!
