vssadmin.exe disabling in Win XP

I'm running Win XP on Desktop lenovo.Just curious whether disabling  vssadmin.exe is applicable to Win XP or

was this for Vista ? If it is applicable and can be diabled,what are steps to do this?

Appears to be applicable to Vista and later versions of Windows.

Actually VSSAdmin also exists in Windows XP.
