So heres the issue:

I have a repair shop and a customer brings me a computer saying the cable company says it needs an ethernet port.

I checked the internal one and both lights are blinking when you have a cord plugged in and under "adapter settings" its recognizing that its plugged in but still has a red x in the task bar and no internet. I uninstalled the drivers and software and restarted the computer and the drivers auto installed. I also manually downloaded them from emachines. Nothing worked

I decided I would installed a new card in a pci express slot and I installed the drivers and everything and the same thing happened. Lights are blinking, red x in task bar, adapter settings recognizes the cable and no internet.

The adapter is an nvidia.

Ive run several virus scans in safe mode but still nothing. Someone give me some help please.

Could you please supply such basic information as make and model and OS - this will be of considerable help to anyone trying to offer advice.
