Hi everyone

New to the forums but sure not new to Bleeping Computers. This site has been used  for a lot of issues and always clears up whatever is wrong... but I have this application error 1000 that keeps closing my internet explorer 11 down and opening a new window. It keeps my information from the old windows, but if I am in the middle of typing a new post it doesn't keep the new part of the post (not auto saved). Can anyone help me with this? Normally I can find the information on line. but this one is evading me.... I am on a Samsung laptop, using Window 8.1, 64 bit.

Thanks,

Doris

Try downloading and installing the following update from Microsoft.  Make sure you choose the one for x64.

This is what I got :  "Windows Update Standalone Installer"

The update is not applicable to your computer

This was in a pop up box when it got through running the install. So it went through the process, and then put this box up.
