I have a bootable live cdof this but I hardly see anyone talk about it anymore. Is it obsolete?  Not supported?

It's a live distro, so "support" isn't really relevent. Far from obsolete though... very much current.

I always get a copy of Knoppix whenever there is a new one..I have ones from many years back. 2001 maybe ?.they are  great as a stand by if you need a live distro as you have everything you could wish for on it.. also great for demos of linux  specially in the past...with the KDE wobbly windows etc.. seeing the eyes of the average XP user light up..
