Hi Forum,

I have been trying to log on to my Dell laptop, but it gets stuck on the blue screen where the user accounts are usually shown. Instead it is just the screen with a warped cursor which I can move. I cant log on cause the account isn't shown. I've tried restarting it several times but it keeps happening. Can you help me?

Thanks, Munns

Windows 7 hanging on the Welcome Screen is a common complaint and usually caused by a third party software/driver, hanging services (sometimes related to installed security software), group policies or connecting network drives. There are many suggestions to resolve the issue...what works for one computer may not work for another.

I have found that most of the possible solutions to resolve this issue can be found in these topics.
