After action report,
After update KB2862330, the USB controllers caused BSODs. It didn't happen in Win 7, Knoppix, or Fedora, so, it was an XP problem. Thank you Mothership. Two years later, after so much tweaking, it turns out to be an update after all. Knew it. Said it.
- unistall KB2862330
- Disable Enhanced USB controllers in Device manager
- reinstall KB2862330
- Enable Enhanced USB controllers in Device manager
Now, this puppy runs.
