I just installed a new hard drive on my computer. Almost right away it started randomly restarting, no blue screen. Sometimes it resets while its trying to reset.

I've checked the memory, no errors.
I've checked the heat, it's not that.
I've tried booting it in safe mode, still resets
I've tried reinstalling Windows, resets when I try, can't do it.

I'm running out of ideas and with finals due next week I really really need help.

Power and data cables are fine, reseating didn't help.
Model number: WDBSLA0020HNC-NRSN
Serial number: WCC5D3NA2826

Sounds like a dying hd. Only other option is to use a USB cable and connect it to another machine to run a diagnostic on it. Something like this.

Start with these free, bootable diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html

If that doesn't find anything, post back for more suggestions (also, have a look at this page for some troubleshooting suggestions:  http://www.carrona.org/strpdown.html )

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
