My name is Dan and I'm a reporter for Business Insider. I am writing a series of stories on ransomware and looking to speak with victims about their experiences with ransomware infections.

If you've suffered from a ransomware infection, I would love to speak with you—regardless of whether or not you chose to pay the ransom.

You can respond on this forum or send me an email at dturkel@businessinsider.com. I don't guarantee that I'll end up using information or quotes from your experience, but I can guarantee that I'll respect your wishes if you want to be identified by only your first name or just as "a victim."

Thanks in advance for your help.

Note to mods: A member of the Bleeping Computer IRC recommended that I try using the General Security forum for this post. My apologies if this is the wrong forum.
