Admin event log shows many atapi errors, please start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Only 173 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most systems with SP1 have 350 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

These devices have problems in Device Manager:

Standard-VGA-Grafikkarte    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0DF4&SUBSYS_05121025&REV_A1\4&22FDAB3E&0&0008    Das Gerät kann nicht gestartet werden.
PCI-Kommunikationscontroller (einfach)    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_05111025&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0    Die Treiber für dieses Gerät wurden nicht installiert.
Ethernet-Controller    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_16B5&SUBSYS_05041025&REV_10\4&BC62EF4&0&00E0    Die Treiber für dieses Gerät wurden nicht installiert.
Basissystemgerät    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_16BE&SUBSYS_05041025&REV_10\4&BC62EF4&0&02E0    Die Treiber für dieses Gerät wurden nicht installiert.
Basissystemgerät    PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_16BF&SUBSYS_05041025&REV_10\4&BC62EF4&0&03E0    Die Treiber für dieses Gerät wurden nicht installiert.
SM-Bus-Controller    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_05111025&REV_04\3&11583659&0&FB    Die Treiber für dieses Gerät wurden nicht installiert.

Please visit the Packard Bell website and get the drivers for your video card, chipset, ethernet, and card reader (and any other devices that remain missing/uninstalled).

Also install any of the Intel utilities that are available (Management Engine, SmartConnect, RapidStorageTechnology, etc) - as it's likely that these programs contain drivers needed for the system to function properly.

Then recheck the Device Manager to see if any errors still exist.  Post back with the results.

There may be a conflict between your Zone Alarm and your Panda

But the ZoneAlarm may have been removed (I cant find any trace of it in the reports).

If it has been removed, please ignore this paragraph.

This is looking most like a hardware or low-level driver problem.  I would expect that the driver installation would fix things, or that the hardware diagnostics would reveal a problem (most likely with the hard drive, but possibly with other components).  If the above steps don't fix things, then try running Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

John, any idea why the last 3 crash dumps have similar codes? The system crashed in all 3 crashes because of Wininit.exe crashing. This looks odd because like you said, this is most likely a hardware problem (Most likely Hard Disk) but don't we see random bugcheck codes in such cases (Just curious :) )? Does Wininit.exe also perform some checks? o.O

First, this is a problem that's complicated by a lack of low-level drivers.

Most recently we've been seeing a number of problems that appear to be hardware, but can actually be hardware/compatibility/low-level drivers (as they all behave like hardware problems).

It helps to view the problems as symptoms of a system - not just as a specific problem.

In this case we still haven't figured if it's hardware, compatibility, or low-level drivers.

I would suggest waiting to see the results after the drivers are installed.

As for compatibility - realize that compatibility issues w/W7 weren't very frequent.  If this was a W8/8.1/10 system I would be more concerned about that.

In general, diagnostics don't hurt.

Please realize that CHKDSK is not a hard drive diagnostic.

Rather, it's a diagnostic for the file system on the hard drive (NTFS or FAT32 most commonly)

While it can point out problems, errors from it aren't necessarily HDD related.

Also, as hardware degrades, the problems it shows can change.

I'm concerned over the IO error in the latest memory dump, but will withhold judgement on it until the drivers are installed.

But, as diagnostics don't usually hurt, it may be easier to run the diagnostics now (while waiting to see if the drivers fixed things or not).

Finally, please understand that this is a "game" of odds and experience.

I find what I think are the most likely causes (IME) and I pursue fixes for them.

If that doesn't work, then I look for the next most likely causes (again IME) and pursue fixes for them.

And, as a last point - some of my suggestions are based on speed.

I suggest things based on what I think will resolve the situation the most quickly.

This is because I don't want to wait to test every possible fix before moving onto the next one - that just takes way too long to complete!
