Cannot open any programs on Server 2008 R2

We have a server that is somehow corrupted and we cannot open any programs.  No exe's under ANY login will run - asks what program to run them with.  See attached PDF.  They will open if you right-click and do "Run As Administrator".   We ran Stinger, which reported many instances of "Artemis!xxxxxxxxx" and supposedly removed them, but the problem still remains.  The problem also occurs with windows explorer, cmd, etc.

Can you post the log generated by Stringer please?

 

 

If the log show traces of active malware then this topic need to be moved to a different section of the forum.

That's almost definitely a malware issue; when what you describe happens, it's because the registry entries have been changed or corrupted. I would suggest moving the topic even before the Stringer logs are in.
