Whew...where to start? Ill just list my problems, followed by my system specs and then my HJT log.

01) I have ewido free edition installed and it will detect "Virtu-mondo" and the file is jkkjk.dll, I press "Recomended" and it will keep poping the same message up...very annoying. I tried that 2 tutorials on removing it, it didnt work.

02) I go "Start>Run>Cleanmgr" and it will have 4 bars and stay there forever. I have tried it in safemode and it yields the same result.

03) When I go to "Start>Turn Off Computer>Turn Off" it will say "Saving Settings>Windows is shutting down" and then it will stay there forever. Im asumming that is, I let it stay like that for 24 hours and it didnt change. In order to turn off my pc, I have to manually turn it off by holding the power button on the front of my pc.

04) Sound no longer works and I hear beeps coming from the inside of my pc, but this may be due to the carelessness of my disabling almost all of my services to save some CPU, which brings me to another problem.

05) Lately FireFox has been using 60,000 K of memory when Im on google.com...and when I let the pc just sit there, task manager will show CPU of 100% and its very annoying, espically when playing music.

06) When playing music in the latest version of winamp, it will act normal untill the song ends. Then it will say "Problem occured".

07) I would update but I cant. I open IE and go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and the browser will freeze. Same thing in FF.

Just so you know I have AVG, Ad-Aware, Ewido, ATF-Cleaner, Killbox, ECleaner, Spybot S&D, Stinger and HJT installed. And they have all been updated and ran in Safe Mode

It worked. Vundo is vanquished! :thumbsup:

That popup is caused by Messenger service being enabled.

Click Start -> Run -> services.msc
Double click on Messenger to bring up it's properties.
Click Stop and then set startup type to Disabled.

===============

Let's run some basic maintenance to see if we can resolve the shutdown issue.

Go to My Computer and right click on Local Disk(C:).
Select Properties -> Tools.
Under Error Checking click on Check Now.
Check both boxes and click Start.
Click Yes at the prompt and reboot your computer.

Let me know how it goes.

Ahh so thats what causes the problem. As for the "Checking for errors" thing, it did nothing.

Go to Windows Update and install Service Pack 2.

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Here's a little more info on the issue you're having.

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307274

As a workaround you can disable the Windows welcome screen.
In the Control Panel, click User Accounts, then click “Change the way users log on or off.” Uncheck the box that says “Use the Welcome screen.”

But the best solution and the one that I strongly recommend is to install SP2. The security benefits alone make it worthwhile.
