. . . the internet ahould be banned.

I think it should be banned.

After all, it is only used by terrorists, criminals, hackers, copyright violators, pirates, porn users, &c.

All internet access in and out of the United States should be stopped, immediately!  Until they can figure out exactly what's going on, and put a stop to it.

Of course, any internet users who are already in the US can still use it.  But only under strict supervision.  And only to access properly regulated sites.

Sites like this one!  http://www.4president.us/websites/2016/donaldjtrump2016website.htm

We should not cut them off.  That would be un American!

We should just control what people are doing.   :bananas:

Honest people would only go to American owned and operated sites, hosted in the US, anyway!

Shutting down the internet in the rest of the world would be a good thing.  :scratchhead:

The internet would be much safer too!  All those ransom ware sites in Russia would not be able to demand money from us any more!

I think trump is talking bout cutting off places on the internet that is unsafe to use.

I heard today they would monitor peoples internet more instead of completely cutting them off of which is un-american.

Many people such as my self I use safe internet and only use the news sites and bleeping and safe practices.

and to cut a person off that uses good safe internet is uncalled for.

millions of ordinary folks like my self use the internet to do business with.

I use the internet also to pay my online bills.

I have been doing it for quite a while.

No the internet should not be banned,

Here's my personal opinion it and might belong in the speak easy.

Donald Trump has some dangerous ideas when it comes to things like the internet, immigration of non white and or non Christian people, building walls on borders ETC and should not be listened to. Dictators love to blame everything on some minority group or other. Remember Adolph Hitler was actually elected.

Dear me. If you banned the internet I would have to sit and talk to my wife for at least another couple of hours a day. Doesn't the US constitution have something in it about 'cruel and unusual punishment' ?

Never mind, turn around is fair. Apparently an on-line petition to the UK government, to ban Donald Trump from entry to the UK on grounds of 'hate speech', has achieved 300k names. Once one of these petitions reaches 100k, then our Members of Parliament are obliged to consider holding a debate on the subject. See -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/35054123/donald-trump-how-you-can-get-banned-from-coming-to-the-uk-and-why

The only problem ?  "are obliged to consider" does not equal "are obliged to hold a debate" !

rp-57,

My apologies to you.  I have been having a bit of a craic, at your expense.

What you and I have talked about is establishing a system the exists in Iran, North Korea, Tibet, and many other countries that live under dictatorship.

What Trump, and those who follow him want, is to establish the same thing in the United States.

Like Nick said, Adolph Hitler was elected!  He did not come to power by force. The then President of Germany, Paul von Hindenburg, appointed Hitler as Chancellor, because his party held the most seats in the German parliament.  When Hindenburg died in office, the Chancellor became the new German President!

Donald Trump is only interested in money and power.  Why else would he spend millions of his own money to get a job that only pays $400.000?  Under Trump, open government would disappear in the US.  Power and control would be completely turned over the the closed board rooms of big business.  Can you imagine what would happen then?

Trump may be an idiot, but his no fool.  He plays on people's fear, and fear is what puts dictators in power!

Tuppence,

Donald Trump will not be elected, I hope, but the thing I do like about him is he brings up subjects that other candidates are too afraid to bring up.

Too much p.c. c**p going on here.

Some things need to talked about, some things are just weird..

Underrated comment, wasn't appreciated enough!  :lmao:

Trump wants to "ban" the Internet because apparently he says that they are losing Americans to it and to ISIS. In that case, maybe he also wants to ban planes, cars, cellphones, and guns (because they are all used by terrorists), right?

I don't think he realizes that shutting down the Internet (at least in the United States) will pretty much shut down the whole country.
