Hello,

I recently purchased a 32" external, LED, Samsung SD850 monitor to hook up to my Asus laptop. Within a week, a tiny red dot appeared on the monitor. I researched the probelm and all of my searches returned answers two or more years older and only for LCD screens. I gently massaged the spot with a microfiber cloth, no results. I also tested the red blemish on http://www.doihaveadeadpixel.com/. The damaged pixel(?) appears on the all white screen and the all green screen, but not on the other options. I am not sure if I have a dead pixel or a stuck pixel. Are there any home rememdies as I would hate to have to repackage this monster monitor. Plus, I have read that some companies won't even replace a monitor with merely one or two damaged pixels.

Thanks for your help.

The manufacturers specs allows for a certain number of dead/stuck pixels but it should not make it to the consumer that way.  Return the unit.
