Windows 8 Fail Updates

Recently I turned on my computer and updating was initiated....after more than 30 mins I got the message with the spinning timer that goes on forever... 

"We couldn't complete the updates/Undoing changes. Do not turn off your computer"

Is there any simple fix for this, because I can't use the machine now
