There are at least 10 of errors on startup and I was told that I have flucked up system files. If I install the free upgrade  to Windows 10 will these be fixed or will I still be in the dumper.

I like Win 7 but am at my wits end with trying to repair it. I do not have a repair disk.

Have you tried the repair feature?  Do a search (Repair Win7) there are a lot of links that will help you through the repair feature.

You can create a repair disc on any computer running the same OS as yours, ie Win 7 64 bit. The reason is that the repair disc come in two forms - 32 and 64 bit - and they are not interchangeable. You will find a tutorial on how to make one here -
