I will do my best to explain this issues. It has been going on for a few months. I have a Motorola modem that I bought at best buy. I have gone through 2-3 routers. I don't know if this issue was happening also at my old address since I didn't do much troubleshooting to resolve. I have had 2 netgear routers (latest one is a n300) and 1 linksys ea3500. The netgear ones are the 40-50 dollar one. Both were different version. The wifi keeps going in and out at times. I finally started testing and noticed directly connecting it to the modem fixes the issue. We connect a playstation. Ipod and samsung galaxy phone to it. The linksys one which was just the pervious one I used would show dns probe finish bad configuration error on the Samsung and the ipod just spins. The arrows move up and down as if info is going through. The pmaystaion will stop also. called time warner who provides my Internet and had a tech come out and said since no lights on either device go out its not the service. So I was advice it was a bad router. Replaced it with the e300 and made sure the playstation was now a wireless connection after a week of having it hooked up since time warner said they have seen a wired connection caused issues. Now it's doing the samething. Directly connecting to modem worked. But the playstation can connect wirelessly but the phone and 2 ipods won't work. I doubt it's all 3 devices. I'm at a lost of what to do or what can be the problem. We do nothing special with the router. We changed the password and that's it. Please help in any way u can.

1. So the playstation is wirelessly connected and working fine with the netgear router, yes? Is this the n300? (Are you sure you mean e300?)

2. What password did you change, the router administration login password?

3. What method are you using to secure your Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)? None/open? WEP? WPA2?

4. How far are your devices from the router? Is there anything physically between the devices such as walls? Are there florescent lights in the area? Cordless telephones? Microwaves?
