Windows 8 Will Not Duplicate Display

My computer will not duplicate display whenever I attempt to adjust the screen resolution, it is only extending display. I am always getting an error message. This started about 3 weeks ago, 

Any suggestions please?

I have the similar problem. It wont let me extend to 3 monitors. 1 time it kinda just fid for few months than i dint jnow how I did it.

Try re-installing your display driver with the latest version.

I restored to an earlier date and that solved the problem....thanks
