I still have tons of emails coming in to my primary account.. never dawned on me to create a bogus account for that purpose regrettably.. and still my house phone is ringing off the wall I unplugged that but need my email account to filter down to nothing but what i want I did join unroll which is helping but still some porn and dating emails are still coming in.. i report to the us gov email for spam reporting but i still get the darn things.. so anyone have a free method for eliminating these that an old fart can understand I would be grateful..

I have run HJT, sc cleaner, MTB  , JRT  , checkup  anything else  people think i should do to clean this out  I am running avast I love it for virus protection  and spybot run frequently and update regularly just ran HJT for the first time on this computer not liking what all i see way too much but not sure anymore what i need to hold on to and what i need to get rid of it has been a long while since i ran the program..  so any help and not sure where all to post the notes from the programs I am fairly certain I am not infected  but may have bots and spyware embedded somewhere I know i had an issue with google which i think one of those programs may have resolved I will know soon enough  thanks in advance

For the unwanted home phone calls, register at the National Do Not Call website: https://www.donotcall.gov/

Do not open or respond to any unsolicited email. Consider opening a Google Gmail account & provide the address only to trusted businesses, family & friends.

Gmail: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/56256?hl=en

Check your Spam settings for your current email program & adjust accordingly. Often people have the settings set far to lax.

If you suspect your computer is infected, post in the 'Am I Infected' section here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/

thanks for the reply I am registered with the do not call list and have been for over ten years but they wont do anything since the calls were initiated by my signing up for this and I am now flooded with telemarketer calls and due to my health I have turned the phone off completely as I get calls even into the late night 11 p,m.

I have my spam filters on to the max more so than I should even some of my personal emails ends up in spam folders my email accounts are with google. I am so tempted to delete the accounts but since they are so old and most every one i know has the email address I am afraid to delete it. but i have considered it. was getting well over 100 porn smut and financial inheritance emails daily it was very annoying  i am down to about 25 unwanted emails per day now but some days I can get back to the hundred easily.

word from the not so wise to unsuspecting people who want to do these surveys online for profit.. they are as much a scam as anything.. i hear kids tell my sons that they are making money

i can bet they aren't  as they want you to sign up for "free" trials that require shipping fees and if they deduct those fees from what they earn they will find they pay more than they earn. plus the email address and phone number are being sold to companies and they will get phone calls and emails flooding in nonstop all day and night. if you consider doing this use a alternate email account and phone number that are not in service or used for personal contacts..personally i will never sign up for these ever again, too much aggravation and never got a check from them just spam mails and non stop phone calls ...live and learn

GET A NEW PHONE NUMBER AND NEW EMAIL ADDRESS - true, it means a bit of work on your part but BETTER - this stuff will continue to recur now you are on the list.  As to the WORK AT HOME thing - "If it sounds too good to be true"  YOU KNOW.
