I have an MSI gt60-2Oc. I bought it spring of 2014. It originally came with Windows 8.1 and ran fine, but about 8 months after I got it the track pad would just stop malfunctioning. It wasn't often at first, the cursor would freeze for a few seconds then return to normal. All my drivers were up to date. Then it would just stop working entirely, the cursor wouldn't even show up at all.

I checked the track pad in the control panel and tried to turn it on manually and it then flicked from enabled to disabled for over a minute before settling on disabled. I tried calling MSI support and they told me they didn't know what was wrong with it at all so I just went and bought a wireless mouse.

When the windows 10 upgrade came I went ahead and got it, but the issue with the track pad continued, and then MSI refused to help me unless I reverted back to 8.1 even though the issues weren't fixed in the first place.

A lesser issue is my speakers have started going out it seems, crackling if I have the volume higher than like 50%.

I guess overall I was wondering if anyone had any ideas and if I should just save up for another laptop? I'm a little frustrated because this one was so expensive and I'd gotten a nice one so it would last me a little while longer.

I'm not sure if I left out important information so if needed just let me know and I'll do my best.
