Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2

After my SpyQuake invasion, I think, when I press Control-Alt-Delete, my system status box does not show up.
Can you help me solve this issue? Is it basic or more advanced. I cannot really go into detail on this, because its a simple command that usually always works that has no error messages, etc.

THanks for the help!

First thing to try is....go to Start, then to Run, and type in "taskmgr.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Does it come up this way?

If so, then I'd suggest running SFC.EXE /SCANNOW from the Run dialog. Once it's finished running (it won't tell you - it'll just go away) go to Windows Update and check to ensure that all of your updates are still in place. If not, let it update them.
