Hello,

I want to get a desktop tower. I have researched and here are two that I found:

1. ASUS M32AD Desktop (Core i3, 8GB, 1TB, Windows 10) with Keyboard and Mouse  ($334)

2. New Vostro Desktop ($300)

I've also looked at HP Pavilion Mini and Inspiron Small Desktop. For #1, I like it but I have read some negative reviews and it is only a $115 discount. For #2, I have a discount and I save a $385. However in #2, it is 500GB whereas #1 is 1TB. Please I hope you will help me make a good decision for which one to buy.

Thank you for all your help!

Looking at the web pages you gave links to I can't find a single thing about the Vostro that I'd pick over the ASUS.

Unless you're not willing to give Windows 10 a go, in which case the Vostro comes with Windows 7.

The fact that the ASUS has WiFi, Bluetooth, a huge hard drive make it far more appealing.  The Vostro does have a couple more USB 2.0 ports, but it's so easy to use a USB hub if you need more USB 2.0 ports.

My 2 cents, and that may be all it's worth.

At this point in time 7 would be a plus, still to many questions and problems with 10.  ASUS has always been a favorite of mine as has Dell, both have in my eyes very good track records.

Thanks for both your advice. OldPhil, could I just re-install windows 7?
Also in general, What about the money? The Asus one only has a $110 decrease whereas dell went from 685 to 300. I thought since the dell used to be so expensive, it would be better. But the higher storage and memory makes ASUS better.

If anyone else has any ideas for computers I should compare please let me know. Computer will mainly be used for office, web browsing, email.
Thanks!

Another question, for the ASUS if I get the Core i5 it is about 75$ more. Do you think it is worth it?

Thanks!

IMO for your usage the faster processor is not really needed, save the $$ you can put it toward an SSD for a big boost in performance down the road.  I have both the i3 with 6g ram and an i5 with 16g ram, My usage is very much like yours.  For what we do there is little difference, both of the a fore mentioned have been up graded to SSD's which did make a real difference.

Thank you for your very helpful feedback! I am going with the ASUS i3, and then if I don't like Windows 10, I'm installing Windows 7 OS since I have the CDs.

I found another deal http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Deskop-Core-Windows-90B700FNUS/dp/B014644FVA/ref=zg_bs_565098_6

Similar to the ASUS. What do you think about this one?

It is here too: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/desktops/lenovo/h-series/h50-intel/#!system

Hey! Since it is Cyber Monday, does anyone have any good deals I should look at? I want to buy the computer today.

I think I have narrowed it down to the Lenovo and the ASUS but if anyone else has an idea or deal please let me know. If not, please which of the following would you buy? Thank you!

1. http://www.amazon.com/M32CD-Desktop-Windows-Keyboard-Mouse/dp/B014QVM2KO/ref=zg_bs_565098_1

2. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Deskop-Core-Windows-90B700FNUS/dp/B014644FVA/ref=zg_bs_565098_6

I have the ASUS at $329 and the Lenovo I found online on another website for this same exact price. Therefore it will not make a difference on the price. This will be the last time I bother, I just want to make sure I do not buy a bad one!

Hello guys,

Since it is Cyber Monday, I want to buy a computer today with Windows 10 since I have been using an old one for a while. I have been looking for deals for all this month.

I think I have narrowed it down to the following list but if anyone else has an idea or deal please let me know. If not, please which of the following would you buy? Thank you!
1. http://www.amazon.com/M32CD-Desktop-Windows-Keyboard-Mouse/dp/B014QVM2KO/ref=zg_bs_565098_1
2. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Deskop-Core-Windows-90B700FNUS/dp/B014644FVA/ref=zg_bs_565098_6
3. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-pavilion-desktop-amd-a8-series-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-natural-silver/4246800.p?id=1219712308322&skuId=4246800 (This one is AMD A8, is AMD bad?)
4. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-ideacentre-300s-desktop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-black-gray/4471700.p?id=1219751163969&skuId=4471700

I found online on another website for this same exact price. Therefore it will not make a difference on the price. Only #3 (HP) is cheaper than the others, however it is AMD Is this bad? And #4 I like because it is i5 but why is it so cheap? Maybe it has something wrong. This will be the last time I bother, I just want to make sure I do not buy a bad one or a bad deal! Please give me your opinion.

Thank you so much I really appreciate it! You don't have to give a long explanation, I appreciate just which of the desktops you would buy.

Edit: Moved topic from Windows 10 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal
