Laptop CPU dead?

HP ENVY 15j000 a10 5750m
took the fan out to clean it put the fan back in CPU isn't responding (caps lock blinks once every 30s or so) fan works fine starts low goes fast then stays fast no hd light... it was working fine before i cleaned it id rather not buy a new cpu what do? Cpu still warms up while it sits there doing nothing

Did you put thermal paste on the cpu? Do you see anything on the monitor?

yeah fresh paste on the cpu after i took the heatsink off and nothing on the monitor it wont boot or do anything but sit there with the fan on

Can you boot into the BIOS?

Is the fan and heatsink assembly firmly attached to the CPU?

 

Did you clean both of the surfaces of the CPU and heatsink?
