Running windows 7 on my Dell laptop.  Over the last two days website real slow to load IF they load at all.   Tried clearing cookies, internet files...didn't help.  Also when I tried to DL avg and spybot it would timeout saying I have no internet connection but computer shows I'm connected to internet with good signal.

Can someone give me suggestions please???

Speeds look ok , so possible issue with Laptop etc , Drivers or Malware.

A Moderator will advise you on further action to take after posting some logs.

Ok Thanks...Do I need to post somewhere else or will they see this?   Also it seems like the laptop is losing internet connection for brief times...Like in FB I can connect but sometimes the pages won't load and even the chat I will get a message saying no  internet connection available HOWEVER all our phones...and computers have no issues...Just this laptop.   I was able to download AVG and it found some issues and fixed them but still having issues.

Please advise for my next step

Thanks

Please disregard Seranok's suggestion.  You aren't even close to needing to go that route.

What browser/s are you running?

Have you tried running the browser/s in

...Also when I tried to DL avg and spybot it would timeout saying I have no internet connection but computer shows I'm connected to internet with good signal...

AVG and/or Spybot [especially ver 2] might be too assertively set and/or have un-needed services/modules running; yes, such things sometimes do interfere with internet connectivity.  Following earlier BC advice, I dialed 'em back, connectivity's much better.

What has prompted you to download these two programs?

What anti virus do you currently have installed?

Spybot S & D at one time was a very good program.  But they have not kept up with current needs and consequently is no longer truly effective.  If you wish to augment your protection I would suggest downloading a antimalware such as  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Thanks for the help..Let me give a little more info...First off sorry it takes so long for me to get back to you.   This is our busy time at work so can't get on much.   I normally use Firefox about 2 weeks ago I noticed internet pages slowing down...Not all but some.  It got worse over time so I tried IE and google chrome with the same results.

Then I started to notice that Yahoo mail would tell me "no internet connection detected"....would also get same type of message on FB messenger.   However I'm able to connect via my regular computer and Iphone with no issues.   My laptop would show internet connected and strong signal.  That's when I decided to install spybot but it would always kick out saying internet was disconnected...Even tried in safe mode.  After a number of attemps I was able to get both spybot and Avg downloaded.  Ran both and they found issues..said they were fixed but still having the same problems.

Let me be a little more specific.  Are you using wifi or a Ethernet cable?
