Can someone tell me the precise correct format for DISM / Online / Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth? I have looked it up and entered it many times but always get error 87. I must be missing or adding a space or making some other basic error,

The correct format is:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
What you just posted is correct, it's because you're adding a space between the slash (/) and paramater, hence why it's not working.

I have just used DISM. It did not report any errors but did say 'The restore operation completed successfully' which I hope I am right to interpret as finding and correct errors? W10 is a bit 'glitchy' since the November update.

It's been a while since I've seen the actual output of DISM (after running the command), but I recall DISM throwing that message even thought it didn't detect anything, which means it's good.
