My son is very tech savvy. However I may not be. I'm looking to buy him a tablet for Christmas. I don't want to break the bank either. He likes to watch you tube and play games and just does alot of downloading. However I'd like to know if there's a tablet or any dEvice for that matter that also offers educational apps. Leap frog however doesn't make tablets for his age. I'm totally lost.

Hi Resa83,

You have a lot of great options as far as a tablet for your son. Thankfully, since your son is younger and will be using it lightly to watch videos, use educational apps, etc you likely won't end up breaking the bank at all.

A budget tablet, such as the Simbans i76 - 7 inch Quad Core tablet, will only set you back about $50 and has everything your son will love. That particular tablet runs on Android, which means there are endless apps available for download to the device from the Google Play store. You can take a look at the Educational Games for Kids available for download here.

Please let me know if you have any questions or want more recommendations!

Can you reCommend one with more memory rather than having to use a sd card? I'm willing to spend up to $125. I'm also wanting to get one for myself. I'd like to have the option to have a keyboard on the one I get for myself.
