I feel that in recent weeks, my computer would randomly lock up on me followed by it restarting.  Been thinking that it is a possible hardware or driver issue, but I need some assistance in finding out the source.  This is a five year old system, although the hard drive is very recent (Seagate 2TB SSHD ST2000DX001) and has a clean Windows 10 installation.

Looking at Event Viewer gives me the Kernel-Power 41 error and also mentioned a HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error.  It has been the case for previous crashes.

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 080014) dates from 2011.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.

All of the errors are STOP 0x124 errors. These are most often hardware problems, but can be caused by incompatibilities or low-level drivers.

The WER section of MSINFO32 shows a STOP 0x117 error (from 12 Oct 2015) related to your video.

I'd start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Start with the video tests.

If you have another video card, test the system by using it.

Post back with the results of all diagnostics and we'll move on from there.

Good luck!
