So I received a computer from a friend, and I've found that the screen ish not displaying anything. The screen is functional, and so are the internals it seems, so I bought a POST test card hoping this might fix all my problems. Well, it did something, it displays the code "8C". Now what? I can't understand the instruction the manual gives me:
Error Code 8C
ACER (8C)System #2 initialize.
AMI (8C)Main and video BIOS shadow successful. Setup options programming after
CMOS setup about to start.
Compaq (8C)Got result, check it.
Phoenix (8C)Initialize floppy controller.(Beep)=3-1-4-1.Final system initialization.

I don't have any kind of specs for my Pc Tower, I'm very new to the computer business. Please help!

I also noticed there is no video card installed in the pci slot, pciex16, or pci express slot.
