Can I upgrade from Windows 8.0 to Windows 10 without going to 8.1 first?  I searched the forum posts, but didn't find the answer.

Windows 10 Upgrade Offer is valid for qualified Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices, including devices you already own. Some hardware/software requirements apply and feature availability may vary by device and market. ...

When/If you do the upgrade, make sure your PC is as clean as it possibly can be.....The less crap present on it, the better.

Be sure to have a backup. Complete.

I found it a good idea to download any programs I was going to need after the update..... to a usb thumb drive before i did the update.....I know i could do it after doing the update , but it just seemed to be more convenient and less hassle......and I then did not need to remember all the programs etc to download.

If this is a laptop, make sure it is fully charged and plugged into the charger.
