Why do Canadians teach their children to say "Eh!", eh?  :unsure:

Because it sounds so much better than the American "Huh?"  :huh:

(Now ducking for cover, expecting  :flamethrower:  from our American cousins!)  :)

It is because of the British (not the French) side of your origins.

The Aussies and Kiwis say it as well, eh.

... thought that penguin looked like it might have lived beyond the 49th parallel.

No way, eh!  If it wasn't for the 'strine accent, you could be mistaken for a Hoser!  :cold:

The correct end to any sentence is "Y'all".  Anyone else is illiterate.

I am neither foolish nor uncultivated, and I do not follow ice hockey, sorry, y'all.

Why do Canadians teach their children to say "Eh!", eh?

So that we can recognize fellow Canadians while abroad.

@NaughtMcNoone

Don't know why, but I always thought you were from Alaska.

Nope!  I'm a Hoser.

Naturalized, though. But I've been to 82°N 62°W.

The Great White North, where men are men, and huskies are nervous!   :cold:
