DISM error, the source file cannot be found error 0x800f081f.

Hi guys,

 

I can't run the command "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth".

Everytime returns the error 0x800f081f. :unsure:

 

Someone can help me?

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I'm not an expert with DISM - but if you get the same error it's either that the syntax of the DISM command isn't formed correctly - or that there's another error that's preventing it from working.

 

If you're unable to get help here, I'd suggest looking into the Windows Update forum at Sysnative - as the experts there can work with this.

FWIW - they are extremely busy, so you may wait a long while before receiving a response.

Hi romeojr,

 

DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:c:\sources\sxs
 

From a elevated powershell and it installed it fine, just change the command above to point to where your file is - in my case it was an C:\ Drive hence

Source:c:\sources\sxs

I hope this will solve your .net update problem.

Otherwise you always can go for reset your PC with deletion of all software but file preservation.
