Hello. Not too long ago I posted a message here about my laptop running slowly, apps giving the response 'not responding' and then the system reboots. It appears to me its a virus/malware. It also seems to be affecting my sound system. First the speaker started producing scratchy sounds and later the mute button's light wouldn't go off. Then I removed the battery several times and it was resolved. Not long after the mute button's light wouldn't come on when the button is activated. I don't know if these events are related but I do know there's either a virus or a malware on my pc. The virus or whatever it is is also leaving a folder called system volume information with a file named index volume guide on any USB port connected device and my phone when connected to the pc and it can't be deleted . I was assured the folder is legitimate but now I'm quite sure it isn't. I need to remove the virus ASAP because its causing my system to run slowly. What do I do?
