I have installed all the Updates - my OS isWindows 7

Security Update for Microsoft Publisher 2010 (KB2817478) 32-Bit Edition

Installation date: ‎13/‎11/‎2015 10:07 AM

Installation status: Successful

Update type: Important

Since installing - I am unable to open a previous Publisher doc - but I can open a new one ??? Publisher 2003 I have on my laptop

Attached are screen shots of messages I received when trying to open an old file.

Should I uninstall it?  If so how please...?

Attached File  Publisher failed to open in safe mode.JPG   20.45KB   0 downloadsAttached File  Publisher failed to open.JPG   28.73KB   0 downloadsAttached File  Single Image 2010.JPG   21.8KB   0 downloadsAttached File  Successful -.JPG   21.76KB   0 downloads

At the end of following these instructions - I still cannot open a current Publisher file made yesterday before the updates.

I just get the same repetitive messages.

Please help as I need access to previous Publisher files.

Thank you

I don't know anything about this issue or if you should uninstall it (but it seems to me like you should), but here is how to uninstall the update:

To uninstall the update: Go to control panel, uninstall a program, view installed updates,   and search for KB2817478   and right click it and Uninstall.

Uninstall the update, but if that doesn't work use system restore to revert your whole machine to before the update and then try again.
