At 11:00 am, on November 11th, please take a minute to reflect on the sacrifice made by those men and women who have served their country in time of armed conflict.

Let us especially remember those who will never return.

For those who have the time, please attend your local Remembrance Day service.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

General Ferdinand Foch

"This is not a peace. It is an armistice for twenty years". His words proved prophetic: the Second World War started twenty years and 64 days later.

Better to remember VE Day, May 8, 1945 or VJ Day, August 15, 1945.

      Let us especially remember those who will never return.

Amen to That.

That is a debt that cannot be repayed, except by Remembering their sacrifice.

What and ignore all those allied soldiers who died in WW1? or Korea or Vietnam or the Middle east?

To me Remembrance Day is about honouring ALL those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

To our American cousins,

What you call "Armistice Day" we, through out the Commonwealth, refer to as Remembrance Day.

It is our equivalent to Memorial Day in the US.

Although I am unable to march, I will still be there to lay a wreath at my town Cenotaph.

Cheers!
