Can you boot into the BIOS?

This laptop came with Windows 8.1 installed on it.  Why were you installing Windows 8?

If you were trying to downgrade from 8.1 to 8 you need to be aware that the product code on this laptop is for Windows 8.1.  You will not be able to activate Windows 8 with that product code.

You are still looking at the same problem regarding activating this installation.  The product key that you have is for the operating system which was originally installed... Windows 8.1.

You can create Windows 8.1 installation media at this Microsoft website.

You will need to know what version you copy of Windows 8.1 (Ex. 8.1, 8.1Pro, etc., you will also need to know if this is the 32-bit or 64-bit version.

Before you install Windows 8.1 I would suggest overwriting the hdd with a program like Darik's Boot and Nuke.  You can create a bootable disc from the download.
