I have an acer aspire that I cannot complete a virus scan on. I have tried AVG, Avast, Malwarebytes, and avira and they all freeze in different spots. I upgraded to Windows 10, hoping that might solve the issue but it hasn't. On top of that when I let the laptop sit idle for more than about ten minutes it restarts. It's also going extremely slow. My 7 year old was playing webkinz tonight and it was lagging very bad whereas it used to work perfectly. Any advice?

I tried again this morning using malwarebytes and it froze again. Laptop is still running super slow. I saw a post from here when I googled that listed a bunch of programs to run but I don't know what any of the results mean. Any advice?

You may need to run a hard drive diagnostic for your laptop(?) first just to be sure there are no faulty or bad sectors pending or not recoverable as this may mean it needs to be replaced ASAP.
