My start button loocks like a 4 pane window. I click it and it opens ALL APPS, POWER, SETTINGS, etc. But there is no text box in which to type commands. Where did it go- how do I get it back?

Left click the start button once........then type something....


This will automatically open a window with your search term in it.

fed up with Windows antics...??....LINUX IS THE ANSWER....I USE LINUX MINT 18.3  EXCLUSIVELY.


Microsoft gives you Windows, Linux gives you the whole house...
