Graphics card cmos clear

Gtx670 msi won't work in my pc ! My mobo says 9.0 which is a bios error. But if I unplug power and remove battery and clear cmos it will boot once. But when I restart I have To do the same to get it to work. Any ideas?

Is your system keeping time? It could be a dead cmos battery.

hi  thanks for reply yes it keeps time but it wont even boot unless i clear cmos and restart it and its like kinda trying to hotwire the pc is how i describe it, i have to clear cmos and turn pc on and do both at same time until it eventually boots but once i restart im back to square one which is proper strange!!

Is the time and date in the BIOS correct?
 
Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  Clicking on this link will automatically initiate the download. 
 
When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.
 
The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.
 
 

Please download MiniToolBox to your desktop.
 
Right-click on MiniToolBox.exe and select Run as Administrator.
 
You will see an image like the one below.

Click on the following checkboxes only:
 
• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Installed Programs
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
• List Minidump Files
 
Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, then copy it and paste it in your topic.

only way to boot is to clear the cmos, if i set the time it would just reboot and then need me to reset again.

sometimes i have to flick the switch on back of the motherboard with clears cmos and then flick back whilst booting to get it to boot.

This has become another can of worms.   Hardware that refuses to work with hardware that worked very well under the PREVIOUS OS.  Microsoft did it again.
