I tried following the directions as best as I could. I ran into a problem with perfmon/report. It always failed, even though I ran it as an administrator. I located the report manually and changed the file type to html, so I hope it's what you need.

This BSOD is driving me insane. Any assistance would be incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!

· OS - Windows 8.1
· x64
· What was original installed OS on system? Windows 8, I think. I think it updated to 8.1 a while ago
· OS came pre-installed
· Laptop purchased in 2013, I believe
· I have never reinstalled the OS.
· Intel Core i7-3630QM CPY @ 2.40GHz

I noticed that the perfmon.zip file containing the .html file is corrupt. It's not format parsed right and all garbled. See if you can run those steps again. perfmon /report once it's finished save it has filename.html again.

All of your BSOD dump files are all KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.

This can mean several things... A corrupt pagefile.sys or bad sector on the hard drive in that paging area, and when the kernel pages from it you get a nice crash. General hd failure logic board etc. bad hd cables, bad memory.

I suggest you download a HD scanning utility there is a wealth of info here...http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/28744/hard-drive-installation-and-diagnostic-tools/ It's a general rule to try and stick with a tool the matches your brand of HD. However, some of these tools will work with any hard drive model. Try Seagate...http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-win-master/

I suggest that you download and install speccy. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/speccy/ After you run it then go to file at the top and select "Publish" Post that url here and we can see your system hardware specs.

Also run a memtest86 & check your memory for errors. Instructions: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/207910/how-to-test-your-ram/

Looks like the perfmon report was saved as a text file rather than html (or the html was stripped off during the saving of it - which is most likely as the header is also missing).

In additiona the technonymous' excellent advice, I have these suggestions:

Your UEFI/BIOS (version G75VX.204) dates from 2012.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.

Ensure that you have all available Windows Updates - check to be sure.

This device is disabled.  Did you deliberately disable it?  If so, why did you disable it?

Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter    ROOT\KDNIC\0000    This device is disabled.

There are several ApphelpSoftBlock errors in the WER section of MSINFO32.
I suspect that this means that you have incompatible software installed.
The ApphelpSoftBlock message means that an incompatible program has been blocked, but it does not specify which program it is.
Please check your older software for compatibility with this version of Windows.

Also, the STOP 0x7A errors (Kernel Data Inpage Error) can just as easily be hardware as software.

See the Usual Causes section here:  http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x0000007A

Please start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html (technonymous has already provided some of these)

If all of them pass, then try running Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Wow guys! Thanks so much! That's a lot of information. I'm going to do it all and address each and every portion of it. Thank you!

But in regards to the perfmon/report, I cant run it. I assure you that I am running it as the administrator, but I get the following error:

"Error:

An error occured while attempting to generate the report.
The operator or administrator has refused the request."

I have no idea why this is happening. I am definitely running it as the admin. It does still seem to generate a report though. I can manually locate the report by running "perfmon.exe", but I cant save it as anything I can only view it. I tried copy/pasting the files and zipping them, but it seems to be causing problems, thus the corruption I suppose. I want to provide the report, but I dont know how. Any suggestions?

In the meantime it's going to take me a while to go through these lists and do everything, especially with the computer shutting down every hour.

If the computer is shutting down this often please don't attempt a bios update. If power fails during the flash you will end up with a brick. I highly suggest that you do a HD diagnostic ASAP and please install speccy & publish report. Your computers HD may be near immenent failure.

Here is the speccy URL: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/mfAJQ1ZmP074jrNNsEuiGR6

I ran seagate "fix-all" and it failed. It says:

"Unfortunately, your Seagate product has failed an important diagnostic test, possibly caused by problem sectors which are difficult to read.  Seagate recommends that you run SeaTools for DOS, which has the ability to repair most problem sectors.  SeaTools for DOS may be able to save you from the inconvenience and down time of exchanging the drive.  For more information on this subject see our online FAQ. SeaTools indicates that your device has a FAIL status.  If you need data recovery services, please visit the Data Recovery link below for more information on your options.

I tired running a bunch of different tests, none of which work. All of them fail.

But here is my HD model as shown in Seagate:

Any recommendations?

You can run the Seatools for DOS and see if it can fix things.
At work we don't do this - as we find that fixing the drive usually results in the system working for a short while, then failing again.

I suggest a new hard drive.  They're relatively cheap, and it's a lot easier than having to reinstall Windows only to have the drive fail again in a week or two.

FYI - when you do a repair, it will wipe those sectors out - so anything on there will be gone. (may be the operating system, it may be your data, or it may be both).

If you want to recover data from the drive before doing anything - please do not turn the drive on for any reason.

As the drive is damaged, running it may increase the damage - so the next time you turn it on would be to try to recover your data.

If you want to do this, post back for suggestions.

P.S. - I suspect that part of the perfmon problem is due to the bad sectors on the drive.  FWIW - I don't use the perfmon report for much - and I can find most of the info in the other reports.

The odds say that it is - but that's not 100%

1)  The repair will erase the sectors that the errors are on.  As such, whatever's there will be gone.  If it's the operating system, then you'll have to reinstall Windows

2)  In most cases we found that doing the repair (and reinstalling Windows) just gave you a bit more time.  In the end, most of the systems needed a new hard drive shortly (within a month or two) despite having done the repairs.

So my hard drive is damaged for sure?

Yeah, your HD is dying. Is your laptop under warranty? I see your hd only has 200 days total of powered on hours. That's unfortunate! Not even a full 1 year use yet.

You need to backup your personal files to another source. You should also try to Create your set of dvd's of the factory image stored on the hidden partition. Usually under start there is a folder named ASUS, DELL etc, in there is a utility tool to create a set of recovery DVD's. Without those cd's there is no way to put the factory images back on a new HD. So this is crucial. Those need to be done ASAP.  For reference Manufacturer Website http://www.asus.com/us/

Thanks guys.

Well, this is certainly a poor state of affairs. But I really appreciate all your assistance in helping me track down the problem.

Since I'm way out of my depth here, and I will likely destroy my computer if I try to do something like this, I will hire a local pro to do this one for me now that I know what the problem is (at least I can get around a diagnostic fee).

You guys rock!
