Please post the manufacturer/model of your Comcast modem.

Also, are you getting any error messages when you try to connect the device to your network?

I have a suggestion but before I offer it I need to know
1) Do you have Comcast cable tv service?
2) If yes, do you have the X1 system?

Ray, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Real life intervened.

If you are still having trouble getting the smart tv connected to the internet open the modem configuration page here http://10.0.0.1

Look for Parental Controls.

If the tv is listed TV remove it from the list of Managed Devices the TV was able to connect OK with the internet.

Check to see it worked. Post the results.

I hope the tech is able to help you resolve the issue. Please do let us know what happens.

One other thing I found that may help: in the gateway settings is changing the channel for WiFi.
The general idea would be to try any channel to see which gives the best performance in any particular environment.

I am curious to know the manufacturer of your smart tv. Is it a Samsung?
