So i got windows 10 after upgrading from windows 7. I like windows 10 but many of my games don't work. I get a black screen whenever i start up a game. this doesn't happen with all games. Anyways, I read something about a Directx 12. That it is supposed to be an exclusive to Windows 10 and that many games won't work without it. I looked at my Directx version and i am still on 11.1. So i figure that is my problem. is it? should i be fine with directx 11.1? if not, how do i download directx 12? is directx even my problem? Any help would be nice. Thank you

Type in dxdiag in search and run it. Does it say version 12? Most video cards are DirectX 11 still.
