I have a Windows 8 laptop and I just ran into a problem where it will not start at all. I need to fix it because it is my main PC.

What is it exactly that the laptop's doing, just prior to its: not starting at all?  What is on display?  What happened when you tried troubleshooting by booting from either a DVD or USB stick?

I had just restarted my PC and it seemed to be working before I got a blank screen (no loading, nothing). I then tried to figure out what was going on so I booted from my Fatdog64 live CD. I checked everything. Everything seemed to be fine, so I tried starting Windows again. Nothing.

EDIT: I also can't find the recovery disks, bu they wouldn't help since they're for Windows Vista. I also lost my Windows 8 disc.

Not from Windows 8. I had one but it was to restore Vista in case something went wrong. I can't switch back to Vista because I want to upgrade to Windows 10.
