I have to draw a flowchart for a SOHO network as part of a college assignment I'm doing. Any advice on what the first process should be to get me started?

First would be understanding how networks are graphically represented. The icons used to represent servers, routers, workstations, etc. Then you can just draw it on paper, a whiteboard, or use something like LibreOffice Draw or Microsoft Visio to come up with the diagram. You can even download the icons that Cisco uses.

I've done the computer network diagram. But I have to do a flowchart of the genesis of the SOHO network.

Do you mean like showing the logical topology and traffic flow? You might check out Cisco packet tracer, which lets you set up a virtual network and configure it as if it were a real network with real equipment.

Well I'm sorry, I don't really understand what you mean by flowchart of the genesis of the network. You should ask your professor for a bit of direction imo.
