First of all, may I remind you that the language of this forum is English !  Unfair I know, but that's the way it is. However, my wife speaks German well but unhappily not technical German, but she has done her best.

Can you boot into 'Safe mode' ?  Normally tapping the 'F8' key while the computer shows the boot screen, the screen with the maker's logo all over it. Choose 'Safe mode with networking'

Does your problem still happen ?

You can always try Google translate !

I have a feeling 'Translate' is not perfect !

HI,

thanks for your kindness (Hello to your wife).

In this mode the warnings are not shown but taskplaner says that it can not run in safe mode...

- Perhaps your drive has started to fail. Run GSmartControl and see how many red(-ish) lines show up in the "Attributes" tab.

2 redish lines:

  • Current Pending Sector Count
  • Offline Uncorrectable

Raw Read Error Rate, Spin-Up Time and Reallocated Sector Count show: "pre-failure"

- Back up your data on e.g. a USB external drive.

- Do you have a Win 7 installation CD/DVD ? Then you can re-install win 7 yourself. Otherwise a computer repair shop can do that for you.

Willy 22 is correct as far as he goes. What he did not say is that since the test is showing errors you need to replace your hard drive, which will mean a complete re-install. But first, as he said, you need to back up your own data - work, documents, photos, music, anything like that. Also the little things that get forgotten like contact lists and browser bookmarks/favourites.

Let us know how you get on.

- Wenn Aufgabenplanung so viele Fehler vorzeigt dann ist die Festplatte möglicherweise kaputt.

- Sorry. I should have been more precise. Yes, follow Mr. Cosgroves instructions.

- "Pre Failure" means that some SMART values will/can deteriorate before a serious disk failure. When SMART values &C5 & &C6 deteriorate then a HD is in the process of failing.

Thanx, do you mean I need a new drive or just a re-install of win 7?

What I meant was; Should I replace the old with a new hard drive? Or is it maybe enough to put the old one out and re-install it again...?

The hard drive diagnostic...has nothing to do with Windows, it checks the functional state of the hard drive, not Windows.

The guidance provided by Chris...should be followed.

I will make this as clear as I can.

The test you referred to in your #5 shows that there are problems with your hard drive. This does NOT mean it is going to die this week, or even next month, but that it is very likely to die in the near future.

A sensible precaution would be to make sure that ALL your own data is backed up to external storage. What you use depends on how much data you have.

DVDs - 4.7GB each but very cheap

USB memory sticks - up to 32 or 64GB  (about €20 +)  (Yes, you can get bigger ones but they are rather expensive)

External USB hard drives - 2TB +  ( about €100 )

You will need to install a completely new hard drive at some stage and this will require a complete re-install of Windows and all your applications.

When your hard drive dies any data on it goes with it.
