I have upgraded from 7 to 10 and there really is nothing wrong with my machine but I seem to have a lot of missing files in the registry and I was wondering if they can be deleted.

There really is no rush with this one.

removed HJT log since there is no indication of malware/infection. HJT logs are allowed only in Malware Removal Logs.

How do you know that there are missing files in the registry?

What sort of error messages are you getting?

There are no errors messages, HJT lists about 20 registry kays with "(missing files)", I read in a forum today that HJT sometimes reports this in error with Windows 10.

OK, the missing files are just HJT telling you that there is a command that's trying to access a file - but the file isn't where it's supposed to be.

Most often this is caused by deleting a file.  In infected systems you get this when the antivirus deletes a virus file, but doesn't delete the related entry to load that file.

In most cases this isn't a problem, but we'd need to know the output of HJT in order to figure that out.

BUT, you cannot post HJT logs in this forum (and I'm not qualified to analyze them anyway).

I'd suggest posting over in the Am I Infected forum:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/
Please read the pinned topics at the top of the forum for instructions on how to post there.
