Viewpoint to Buy Unicast Communications for About $7.38 Million in Cash, Stock and DebtThursday December 2, 10:23 am ET NEW YORK (AP) -- Web search and imaging services firm Viewpoint Corp. said Thursday that it agreed to purchase Unicast Communications Corp., a video advertising technology company, for about $7.38 million in cash, stock and assumed debt. New York-based Unicast provides advertisers, agencies and publishers with formats to deliver media and broadcast quality video to the Web. ///NOTE: Viewpoint's Media Player is generally considered malware and is normally recommended as an optional removal. Threat: Generally considered to be an annoyance. But it may profile users and has no privacy policies in place.///
